Help Us with Hairballs, Please!!

April 30th is National Hairball Awareness Day.  We are aware of hairballs all year long.  Mom really doesn’t like to step into a slimy pile of regurgitated cat hair first thing in the morning.  But more important, hairballs wreak havoc on our digestive system, causing vomiting, diarrhea or constipation and, in severe cases, bowel obstruction.  If your cat hacks up hair with frequency, brush him more and talk to your veterinarian about giving hairball remedies.  This is one time we want you to talk to the Vet!

Smokey – Brush us regularly with a good grooming brush/comb like the Furminator.

Bumper – I’m surprised Smokey didn’t want to do this one since it’s about food.  Anyway, if the problem is serious ask your vet to recommend some type of food or hairball remedies.

Black Beauty – I have no hairball issues. I just did all the online research to make my two roomies look smart.
