Cats Are a Great Distraction from Paying Taxes!

The entire month of April is dedicated to The Prevention of Animal Cruelty (ASPCA) & National Pet First Aid Awareness.

April 16th – Easter Sunday but forget the Easter Bunny – change things up with the Easter Cat.  He may prefer napping than delivering candy and eggs but who needs more candy.  You might want to help him along in this new identity by getting him an Easter costume.  Go to for some ideas.

April 19th – Pet Owners Day – Cat lovers know that even this day is about celebrating the divine feline.  Spend some time today appreciating that your cat graciously allows you to be a cat parent.

April 27th – Feral Cat Spay Day - What is Feral Cat Spay Day (FCSD)?
Feral Cat Spay Day is an international event that allows free spay/neuter to feral cats. It is sponsored by Alley Cat Rescue ( from Maryland. FCSD is an opportunity for veterinary clinics around the world to offer free and affordable TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) services to feral cats. Over 700 veterinary clinics from 45 U.S. states have joined Alley Cat Rescue in the fight to prevent cat homelessness! Together, over 5,100 community cats have been spayed or neutered through FCSD.

April 30th – National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day – Thinking about adopting another kitty?  Put your thoughts into action today.  Try to get a friend to adopt as well.  Do not forget those incredible Senior cats at the shelter.  They are the best cats ever but never seem to get adopted.
